This standard is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is applicable to various categories, such as:
- Perishable animal-derived products: Meat, dairy, eggs, and others.
- Perishable plant-derived products: Packaged fruits and vegetables.
- Long shelf-life products: Canned goods, cookies, snacks, beverages, and more.
- Biochemical products: Vitamins, additives, and probiotics.
